The Box Hill Neighbourhood Council was formed almost 40 years ago by a group of caring locals who wanted to bring together the residents of Box Hill to establish a focal point for the benefit of the whole community.

To help the BHNC to ensure we are doing all we can to meet your needs, we would like to hear from our residents on ways we can help the village to continue to be a special place to live.

Everyone should have received a questionnaire through their door. Every completed survey received will be entered into a Free Raffle with winning prizes of £150 gift voucher, £100 gift voucher, £50 gift voucher and £25 gift voucher. Replies can be left in Hill Top Stores or given to any member of the BHNC.  Alternatively you can post them to The Hollies, Boxhill Road, Box Hill, KT20 7LA

Please return your survey by 11th December.  Your chance to win some great prizes

Only Losers Litter

Only Losers Litter

Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) has re-launched its hard-hitting anti-littering publicity campaign ‘Only Losers Litter.’

The campaign, which first ran at the start of 2020, warns drivers that they could face a fine of up to £100 if they are caught dropping litter onto a road verge. In a play on the word ‘loser’, publicity features a driver throwing £10 notes out of a car as they would litter.

The previous campaign featured radio spots and Facebook, Instagram and Spotify adverts which collectively reached 233K of the target audience. There was also press coverage and local businesses displayed posters.

In this re-launch of the campaign, signs will be placed on roadside littering hotspots across Mole Valley. Messages will go out on MVDC’s social media platforms, website, news site and in its monthly enewsletter. MVDC will also seek coverage in the local media.

MVDC is publicising the easy-to-use facility to report littering online at www.molevalley.gov.uk/littering. This allows anyone who spots an offender littering in Mole Valley to share details about the offence and upload dashcam footage. MVDC’s Joint Enforcement Team will then investigate the incident.

Box Hill resident Sean Feeney (75) is undertaking a massive challenge to raise money for the NHS because he “wants to make a difference”.

Each morning since 21st April, the bike shop on Box Hill has set up a static bike so that Sean can fulfil his pledge to cycle a marathon 26 miles every day to raise as much money as possible for our wonderful NHS.  On Saturday 30th May he completed his 40th Ride.  Sean has raised an amazing £7,410.  He has brought a smile to everyone visiting the shop. Our very own Box Hill hero.
